THE PRESENTERS
Author Mystic Thompson is a veteran educator who has taught Physical Education, Social Studies, and Reading at the middle school level. Additionally, she has been both an Assistant Principal and Principal at the high school level. She has worked in Georgia, North Carolina, and California.
She currently teaches at a charter high school in Los Angeles, where she is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Fighting Kudzu is her first novel.

Guinevere Turner is an actor, screenwriter, and director. She emerged on the film scene in 1994 as the writer and star of Go Fish, a lesbian-themed independent film. She is also known for co-writing screenplays for the films American Psycho and The Notorious Bettie Page, and for writing for and appearing in the first two seasons of the television series The L Word.
Jeanne De Vita is the Managing Director of Musa Publishing. Jeanne holds the B.A. in English from Iowa State University and the M.F.A. in English-Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame. She publishes under a pen name and has edited and acquired more than fifty published works of fiction in almost every genre, including Fighting Kudzu.
